Heritage
Founded in 1982, HAFENWERK is a German door brand today led by its second generation. The company is directed from Dallas, Texas — home to its Americas operations — while production is managed from Algeria. This transatlantic structure is deliberate: project leadership, contracting, and accountability sit in the United States, while manufacturing draws on the skill, capacity, and logistics of the southern Mediterranean.
Sourced without compromise.
German engineering defines every HAFENWERK door. All metal components are sourced from Germany — hardware, profiles, and mechanisms from the workshops that set the industry standard.
All timber is procured from South Africa and Italy, selected for stability, grain, and finish quality, and matched to each system before production begins.
Why Algeria.
Manufacturing is centered in Oran, Algeria — a strategic decision, not a convenience.
- 01
Competitive tax incentives
A tax framework that keeps precision manufacturing economically sustainable over the long term.
- 02
A deep-water port city
Oran's port offers established container routes to North America and Europe.
- 03
Government concessions
Concessions granted to the company secure long-term operating stability.
- 04
Direct proximity to Europe
Unmatched closeness to European markets — days, not weeks, from factory to site.
Represented in Dallas.
In the United States, the brand is represented by Silkroadinternational LLC, a Dallas-registered company — the point of contact for specification, contracting, and project delivery across the Americas.
HAFENWERK develops high-performance exterior and interior door systems for residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.
